Bodymind Trancework for Trauma: Part 2 of Module IV of Jin Shin Do® (JSD) Bodymind Acupressure®

Cost: $550 (space allowing, you may repeat the class at 50% off)

Pre-requisites: Basic JSD

When: August 7-8-9 Fri-Sat-Sun, 8am - 6pm daily

Where: Body Perspectives, 2525 C Lebanon Pike, Suite 203, Nashville, TN 37214

Content: Review and expand techniques used to support clients who may have Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) with recovering safety and embodiment without re-traumatization.

  • Learn and practice oscillation for trauma transformation

  • Learn to help clients focus on competence and confidence

  • Continued focus on Ericksonian techniques for working with the trance or meditative state induced by JSD, in which there is increased receptivity to minimal cues.

Lunch and Logistics: Please bring linens and what you need for comfort on the table. Please wear comfortable clothes and bring materials to take notes, if you wish. A lunch break will be taken each day; you can bring your lunch or eat at one of the many restaurants located nearby, and please bring snacks as you need.

Instructor: Steve Sommers, LMFT, LMT, Senior Teacher of Jin Shin Do® Bodymind Acupressure®. Steve has been teaching acupressure for integration into massage therapy since 1995. He became a registered practitioner in 1993, an authorized instructor of Jin Shin Do® Bodymind Acupressure® in 1998, and a Senior Teacher of JSD since 2005. He is currently the only authorized instructor of JSD in Tennessee.
